the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation – and we pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
Including a Welcome or Acknowledgement
We encourage all events to recognise Country at the beginning of the program, either through a formal Welcome to Country or a spoken Acknowledgement of Country.
Acknowledgement of Country
A respectful statement that can be delivered by any host, speaker, or guest at the beginning of an event. Suitable for all gatherings, large or small.

Welcome to Country
A ceremonial address delivered by a local Aboriginal Elder or recognised Traditional Owner. This is typically arranged for larger, formal, or high-profile events and must be booked in advance.
