About this Submission

Business NSW welcomes the opportunity to provide a pre-Budget submission ahead of the 2026-27 State Budget. In this submission, we emphasise the need for targeted, long-term investment to drive sustainable growth. While business confidence is rising, ongoing cost pressures, skills shortages, energy affordability (while also noting the continued importance of gas), and infrastructure constraints continue to limit productivity and expansion. With the 2027 State Election approaching, this Budget should be positioned as a critical opportunity to strengthen NSW’s economic foundations and deliver lasting benefits to businesses and the wider community.
