House of Welcome
House of Welcome Catering is a social enterprise providing people seeking asylum and refugees with a pathway to independence.
Through paid Chef traineeships, mentoring and real hospitality experience, participants build confidence, develop professional skills and gain Australian workplace experience in a safe, supported environment. House of Welcome Catering also connects trainees with the wider community through cooking events and food programs, enabling them to share their culinary heritage and stories to foster understanding and inclusion.
Its menu showcases global flavours from trainee chefs’ home countries, offering diverse, authentic catering suitable for corporate and private events – delivering food that creates impact beyond the plate.
