Where Wineries, Luxury Stays and Hiking Meets the Sea

Head to the coast! Where surf beaches are flanked by green rolling hills with award-winning wineries and paddock to plate restaurants. Ulladulla’s iconic harbour is just a stone's throw away from Mollymook Beach – celebrity chef, Rick Stein's home away from home and just a few hours from Sydney and Canberra.

Summer Indulgence - As the peak summer season rolls around, so does the trip just south of Ulladulla to Lake Tabourie. Between the lake and the beach, you can fish, swim, or walk from one to the other and enjoy mother nature’s show. North will get you to Narrawallee Beach surfing spot, where you may run across World Surfing Champion Pam Burridge ready to get you on your first wave. At the northern end of Narrawallee stumble across the peaceful inlet where you can kayak, snorkel and SUP. After exploring the local swimming holes, Altar Wine Bar Milton awaits with a welcoming fairy-lit garden on the grounds of The Old Church at Milton.

Autumn Adventure - Autumn is for adventure. Surrounded by the Budawang ranges, Ulladulla is within driving distance of some of the most rewarding hiking tracks. Pigeon House Mountain (Didthul/Balgan) offers panoramic views of cliffs and gorges carved out by the Clyde River. Challenge yourself by engaging Big Nature Adventures for multi-day hikes and cliff climbing expeditions. There is nothing quite like a good adventure paired with a deserving meal, retire to The Guild Italian for a wood-fired pizza and red wine that will warm the soul.

Cupitt’s Estate has it all, a winery, a brewery, cottage accommodation and a farm to table menu that leaves you astonished. Back in town, you will find The Ruse Mexican eats and trendy bar with full views of the famed Ulladulla harbour. Just down the road, The Milton Hotel is home to the Dangerous Ales brewpub with IPA, pales and lagers all brewed on-site and given to you with small-town hospitality smiles.

Next door, you will find Van Rensburg Gallery a colourful location that has a rotating exhibition of local and national artwork for your viewing and purchasing pleasure. Harvest Bar Milton now awaits, a cosy setting with live music and signature cocktails for the perfect end to your night.

Spring Fling - A Spring affair will have you falling in love with this location. Golf by the water at the award-winning Mollymook Golf Course. Alternatively, Heli escapes will fly you in a helicopter from Sydney to Bannisters by the Sea for an incredible seafood experience at Rick Steins. Stay overnight at their ocean view rooms or head to Bannisters Pavilion and stay with your pet pal in a luxury room setting.

Surrounded by a beautiful stretch of coastline but not limited by a season change, it is not a question about why but when you should visit Ulladulla.
