Berry’s charming weatherboard cottages and white picket fences exude nostalgia, while the town boasts a range of accommodation options, including cute, well-appointed cottages in the heart of town.

The main street is alive with a vast array of independent shops and businesses, selling everything from artisanal baked goods, chocolates, deli items, and retro lollies to a dedicated tea shop. Stroll through boutique retail stores offering fashion, homewares, furniture, books, eyewear, and more. 

Berry is also known for its wine and craft beer. Visit Justin at the local bottle shop who’ll talk you through the best local drops if you don’t have time for the cellar doors, and enjoy a tipple in cosy comfort by a crackling fire. Why not head to Silos Estate, where you can taste their award winning wines and enjoy some local produce in this fully sustainable vineyard that also has Tesla Superchargers.

For foodies, Berry is a paradise. The town offers a diverse range of culinary experiences, from Thai and Indian curry to Italian, pizza, and gourmet burgers.

A must-visit restaurant is South on Albany, which has been awarded a Chefs Hat in the 2022 SMH Good Food Guide. This much-loved restaurant sources local produce and serves dishes that are out-of-this-world. Queen Street Eatery & Wine Bar offers a relaxed and approachable French-inspired menu with a South Coast spin. For a farm-totable experience, visit Mountain Ridge Wines, where you can charge your electric car, rent their electric Jaguar or enjoy a three-course meal featuring home-grown produce.

If you’re looking for a little time out for yourself, Berry has plenty to offer. Reawaken your inner yogi at Berry Yoga Shala or tick a Darryl Braithwaite moment off your bucket list with a horse ride along Seven Mile Beach. Wake up early to watch the sunrise from the top of the spectacular Drawing Room Rocks walk, sitting at weathercarved stone tables and chairs, gazing over the vast valley below. Participate in a pottery or jewellery workshop and immerse yourself in learning something new.

Three days in Berry

Nestled beneath green rolling hills, just a stones throw from the coast, the township of Berry oozes character, warmth and charm just two hours south of Sydney and three hours from Canberra. Located in Shoalhaven on the South Coast of NSW, Dharawal Country, Berry is also the earliest settlement of the South Coast by Alexander Berry.
