Head to the coast! Where surf beaches are flanked by green rolling hills, award-winning wineries and paddock to plate restaurants. Ulladulla’s iconic harbour is just a stone's throw away from Mollymook Beach – celebrity chef, Rick Stein's home away from home, foodie hub Milton and is just a few hours from Sydney and Canberra.

An array of resplendent day trips is also at your fingertips including the idyllic village Kings Point, situated just south of Ulladulla on the upper shores of the increasingly popular Burrill Lake.

The best thing about Ulladulla and the surrounding towns is that no matter the weather, every season provides vibrant holiday activities that can both romance and excite you. If the sun is beaming, look no further than just south of Ulladulla to Lake Tabourie.

There are few places in Australia that provides equal access to a lake and the beach, but Lake Tabourie is one of the few. In a fantastic display of mother nature, at Lake Tabourie you can fish, swim, surf, paddle and walk all in one location.

If you choose to head north of Ulladulla you will be equally delighted. Narrawallee Beach is a prime surfing spot, where you can enjoy a romantic and playful surfing lesson with world-renowned surfing veteran Pam Burridge. But as you remove your eyeline from the ocean and towards the mountains, you will be encapsulated by the dreamy Budawang ranges.

This puts you and your partner, within driving distance of some of the most rewarding hikes in Australia. Pigeon House Mountain (Didthul/Balgan) offers a challenging couple activity that ends with panoramic views of cliffs and gorges carved out by the Clyde River.

If food is your love language, then you have come across the right holiday destination. Find a seasoned foodie trail with local wineries, breweries, and cosy bars all residing here.

Cupitt’s Estate is a family run and owned winery, brewery, fromagerie and farm to table restaurant experience. But beyond this, they offer couples luxury accommodation pods with an outdoor bath overlooking the manicured grounds and vineyards to ignite your romantic flame instantly.

Back in town, you will find The Ruse with Mexican eats and a trendy bar with full views of the famed Ulladulla Harbour. Stay on that foodie trail by heading just down the road to The Milton Hotel. Home to the Dangerous Ales brewpub with IPA, pales, and lagers all brewed on-site and given to you with small-town hospitality smiles.

The neighbouring town of Milton provides rustic bars found on 1000 acres at Harvest Bar, Alice in Wonderland style gardens with a fairy-lit courtyard at Altar Wine Bar and world-class wine and continental deli-style produce at Small Town Provisions. For Asian street eats served alongside classic tunes, look no further than GWYLO’s sizzling menu from the creative mind of Matt Upson.

You can’t leave the home of Rick Stein without booking into Bannister’s By the Sea for an incredible and localised seafood experience. Stay overnight in their ocean view rooms and wake up to the smell of the sea breeze. For an extra indulgent treat, try Shoalhaven Float to relax your mind, body, and soul - the region’s first floatation therapy centre.

Surrounded by a beautiful stretch of coastline and teeming with pet-friendly beaches like Collers Beach and Ulladulla Harbour North Beach, it is no question why Ulladulla has become one of the most sought after year-round holiday destinations for couples in Australia.
